Practical and enjoyable as well

For long waterways have been an important mean of conveyance. Especially the river- and canal system in and around Bangkok, altogether more than 12.000 miles, is still in high demand for transportation. Line ferries and water taxis carry numerous people day in, day out to their work or school. For the ferries only crossing the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok alone there’re around 130 piers.
Ticket prices are non-negotiable, the same applies for other means of Public Transportation. On busy mornings one may purchase a ticket at the counter, at a more remote quay just enter the boat and pay there.
